How to play
- Tap, click or press space to make the bird flap upward. It falls constantly when you do not.
- Fly through the gap between each pair of pipes. Touching a pipe, the ground or the ceiling ends the run.
- Each pipe cleared is one point. The spacing does not get harder — you get more tired.

Tips
- Aim for the bottom of the gap, not the middle. The bird rises fast and falls slowly, so overshooting upward is the more common death.
- Find a rhythm and keep it. Steady small taps hold a straighter line than reacting to each pipe individually.
- Never panic-tap. Two flaps in quick succession sends the bird into the top pipe almost every time.
- Start the tap slightly before you think you need to. The flap has a moment of upward travel before it takes effect.
- Ignore the score while you are flying. Looking at the number is how good runs end at pipe twenty.
Medals
When a run ends, the score board shows the score of that run, your best score and a medal. The medal depends only on the run you just played:
- Under 5 points — no medal.
- 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 points each unlock the next of the five medals. Forty pipes in one run earns the top medal.
Your best score is kept in your browser on this device. Playing in a private window, or clearing site data, starts the best score again from zero.
How this version differs from the original Flappy Bird
- The bird is a black crow, and the game's own title screen calls it Flappy Crow. The pipes are brown and the background is green hills.
- The original Flappy Bird gave bronze at 10, silver at 20, gold at 30 and platinum at 40 points. This version adds an extra first medal at 5, so new players get one sooner.
- Pipes scroll at one constant speed and appear at a steady interval for the whole run. Only the height of each gap is random, so there is no speed-up to wait out — the run is as hard at pipe 50 as at pipe 5.
- A chime plays for every pipe you clear and a crash sound when you hit something, so you can keep the rhythm by ear.
